    The last thing you need when you are trying to save money on a trip is a huge unexpected expense like a major car problem in the middle of nowhere.  Before you take a road trip, make sure you get your car inspected to prevent any unforeseen problems. Not only will this save you the headache of a potential problem, but preventative maintenance like having your oil and tires checked can save you money on gas.<\/p>\n

      Many times you can find great last minute deals on places to stay.  Whether it be a vacation rental or a hotel, if you are flexible you can often find some great deals.  But, make sure you are prepared if nothing is available.  Plan ahead and look for campsites or other places you can pitch a tent.  Camping can also be a great chance to enjoy the great outdoors while saving a pretty penny.<\/p>\n
